LGS is an ideal building material for harsh conditions as it is not as weather dependent as other materials. As steel does not absorb moisture, rain does not affect the construction process1 as you do not have to wait for the steel frames to dry (of course, at Central Steel Framing, we manufacture your framing in a controlled dry environment).
Light gauge steel is also extremely safe. With the ability to withstand temperatures of up to 1000 degrees Celsius, it is highly fire resistant2. LGS can flex without breaking too, so it is capable of withstanding 240 kilometre per hour winds3 and an earthquake of category 9 on the Richter Scale4.
