X-CALIBR™ Project: Rollforming Services Cantilevered Canopy

The requirements

Rollforming Services (RFS) needed a large canopy on the side of their industrial building. It needed to extend over 5 metres out from the building, while still being easy to install and affordable.

How Central Steel Framing delivered

Lightweight and accurate to within millimetres, the X-CALIBR™ structural roll-formed system was the obvious choice for the RFS canopy. Using the system we were able to slash material and labour costs for the project and quickly build an extremely strong cantilevered canopy.

Materials were trucked to site, including pre-assembled rafters with purlin hanger brackets, haunches and structural connection brackets. The rafters were lifted into position with a scissor lift, lined up with connecting brackets and secured via pre-drilled holes. Purlins dropped straight into hanger brackets and the entire installation was complete in three hours. Simple as that.
